I finally fished the knitted cowl (Fishermen's Wool Cabled Cowl) I started a few weeks ago.

Fishermen's Wool Cabled Cowl

This is a free pattern from Lion Brand Yarn which I downloaded from Ravelry.  I enjoyed knitting it because the intricate patterns kept me on my toes and I had to focus on counting properly, or else I can easily make a mistake... can you spot it?  ; )

I have made some adjustments to the pattern - I didn't make it quiet as long and I also didn't felt it.

I love working with Debbie Bliss' yarns, they are of high quality and so soft and luxurious.  I especially like the fact that they are machine washable!  I used 5 balls of Debbie Bliss Merino Aran, tan colour.

I thought it would be too bulky but it turned out much nicer than I expected.  It also feels so cozy against my skin..

..and really keeps me nice and warm.

It's even long enough to keep my head warm..

I will definitely wear it this weekend, it's suppose to be -25C out!

I'm planning to make this Gap-tastic cowl next.  Stay tuned!

'Till next time,

xox Lily.
