Knitted hat - finito! Yipee! I'm so excited because I completed the knitting project/experiment I posted the other day!
I do not like wastage so I've always been fascinated with the ability of some creatives being able to reuse and transform an item that appears to be junk into something that is incredibly useful. This is why I'm very happy with this hat because I actually used the yarn from my previously half knitted "quasi scarf which was meant to be a shawl" project and was able to breath new life into this "cast off" yarn that would have been sitting there forever if it wasn't for this hat. I knitted it directly from the incomplete project, literally, (check it out) and it worked surprisingly well.
The pattern is called Brother in Law Basket-Weave hat, a free download from Ravelry and I made a few adjustments.
The little guy loves the hat and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. We're all good ; )
