Hey you! Today, you get to visually devour the infamous Naughty Nacho Supreme on day 14th or letter "N" of the one month long A to Z Blogging Challenge that I'm participating in with the theme Crowd Pleasing Appetizers.
This nacho supreme is bursting with seasoned ground beef, cups of cheddar cheese, lots of salsa and sour cream. It's probably not the healthiest snack/meal choice but it is SO gratifying.
1 TB butter
1 lb ground beef
2 garlic cloves minced
1 carrot shredded
1 celery stock finely chopped
1 onion finely chopped
1 pack of El Paso Taco Seasoning
½ pack of 300g nacho chips
½ bottle of 418ml Salsa sauce
1 cup sour cream
Heat pan on medium-low heat, add butter:
Once butter is melted, add ground beef and stir fry for a couple of minutes:
add garlic:
Add chopped onions:
Stir fry for 5 or 6 minutes, until beef is browned:
Add chopped celery, combine with beef:
Stir fry well so everything is combined nicely:
Add taco seasoning:
and stir to combine. Let it simmer in low heat for 5 minutes. Turn off heat, drain off any excess oil/sauce. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350F. In the meantime, add a layer of nacho chips on a baking sheet or an ovenproof platter:
Sprinkle cheese all over:
Add another layer of nacho chips:
And sprinkle more cheese all over:
Transfer to oven and bake until cheese is melted, around 5 to 10 minutes:
Remove from oven and add ground beefAnd another layer of cheese
Pop it back into the oven and let the cheese melt - another 5 to 10 minutes:
Remove from oven and top with salsa and sour cream.
Mmmmmmmm divine!
'Till next time,
xox Lily.
