I have a major craving for this right now. This is easy to throw together if you have any left over steak. What really makes this sandwich exceptional is the marinade that accompanies the green onions and cilantro.
All you need are as follows:
1 green onion, thinly sliced diagonally, ½ cup of packed fresh cilantro leaves, 1 grated carrot (optional). Toss these together with the following: 1 minced garlic clove, ½ teaspoon of brown sugar, ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes, ½ Tablespoon of rice vinegar.
Split and toast a bun, slice a garlic in half and rub the juice on the insides of the buns and butter if you like. Add steak and then the marinated green onion, cilantro, etc. above.
